buying a new motorcycle New motorcycle prices and motorcycle buying advice... Buying a new motorcycle means buying from a dealer. In such a situation you want to make sure you’re going to buy the motorcycle from a quality dealer. You have two types of dealers: brand name dealer and general dealers. You will find more new motorcycles at a brand name dealer where a general dealer will specialize more in reselling of motorcycles. However (that said) general dealers do also sell new bikes.

When you buy a new motorcycle there are a lot of positive things like, warranty, service, reliability which set your mind at ease. The down side is new motorcycle prices. To make sure that those positive buying points truly hold value make sure you work with a recommended quality dealership.

Dealership (New Mc) Advice & Checks

Is the dealership run in a good way?
How do you find the atmosphere at the dealership. How are the different customers being treated. While you walk around the showroom notice how management expects customers to be treated. If you do see an unhappy customer pay special attention to how the problem is being solved. How are the bikes displayed, the knowledge about new motorcycle prices, the motorcycle gear, helmets, is the workshop clean. A badly run dealership might not be there for you once they have made the sale.

Do they know what they are talking about?
How knowledgeable do you find the staff. Decide for yourself is what you are hearing - sales talk or motorcycle talk. Also if a sales person knows about the full range of products they will try harder to match what fits you. I myself really like a shop that’s all motorcycle talk and let’s the quality of the products make the sales. A coffee corner to talk about it is an extra benefit ;o). Less knowledge might result in not the right bike for you.

Is the maintenance is good hands?
Your bike will need maintenance and even if you do most stuff yourself, there will be moments when you’ll need to rely on the service / maintenance of the dealership. A clean work place is a good sign, awards and certificates on the wall also. Talk to a mechanic and ask if he / she goes on trainings, how long the staff has been there.

How easily can you get the right parts?
A zillion different parts make up your motorcycle and bet your ass that there are going to be times that you’ll need something replaced. The knowledge of the parts department is essential. I don’t mind the fact that an employee doesn’t know everything by heart however look it up (while I’m there). Also ask me the right questions. From which year is your bike? The exact model? Give me the right new motorcycle prices, Etc

New Bike User Tips

Once you get your new bike and are going to take delivery make sure you do a bike inspection and review. Use my helpful lists.

A good dealership will go past the mere sales of your motorcycle and work with you for your ongoing motorcycle fun. To recognize a good dealership you need to brake down what they do and how they do that. These questions will help find a good dealer who gies the right new motorcycle prices and advice you need.

One of the basic rules for getting the best new bike when buying from a dealer is … to only buy a new bike with massive discount. It’s the only way the added price makes any sense. Otherwise stick to buying second hand models or know how to negotiate (and all the inns and outs of the trade)

Ever wondered why you don’t get an easy discount when paying cash? Well the dealer / shop make even more money on financing your bike for you.

Best way to get the salesmen to lower the price. Say you love the motorcycle but don’t really have the money for it. Tell them a much lower budget than reality… then let the sale guy figure out how to sell it to you.

When buying from dealers make sure you don’t get caught with high finance rates or high priced extended warranties. It can and will cost you way too much money. Example – quoted finance rates can be different then what’s written down.

Buying at the end of the month seems to work best for many sales people seeing they are often faced with targets and com%.

If you are looking for getting the best motorcycle for all your money dealers are best avoided and private sales are better.
