The Northwest ride is a unique trip that takes you to a part of the United States that is little known. On the way to Canadian British Columbia cross the states of California, Oregon and Washington. This tour combines unbelievable landscapes like the volcanic peak of Mount St. Helens and the rough Pacific Coast with attractive cities like Vancouver, Seattle and San Francisco. A ride for the real biker, favoring variation and exhilarating curves.

Distance: 2703 miles/4325 km


Day 1 San Francisco – Red Bluff (279 miles / 447 km)
Get an early start and leave San Francisco via the Golden Gate Bridge. Through the famous Californian vineyards via Clearlake to reach your destination Red Bluff, you’ll be riding small mountain roads all day.

Day 2 Red Bluff – Klamath Falls (259 miles / 414 km)
Today the first visit is Lassen National Volcanic Park. This area has experienced 2 million years of uninterrupted volcanic activity. Ride through this spectacular nature reserve. Naturally also stop at Burney Falls, a group of waterfalls that features rainbows in its watery clouds providing the weather is good. Best stay is in Klamath Falls.

Day 3 Klamath Falls - Madras (209 miles / 334 km)
On the way to Madras really be riding through the backyard of mother nature. The fascinating landscape, shaped by pure natural force, creates the scenery for a fantastic day. Naturally explore Crater National Park. Our home for the night is Madras.

Day 4 Madras – Long View (199 miles / 318 km)
The Columbia River and Mount Hood form the headliner of the day. A nice stop could be the historic town of Mt. Hood, for a cup of coffee or an early lunch. The late afternoon will be entirely dominated by a ride along Columbia River.

Day 5 Long View – Seattle (197 miles / 315 km)
The area you will ride today still features the immense consequences of the eruption of Mt. St. Helens. After your visit to Mt. Rainier National Park which boast the highest peak of the state of Washington, Mt.Rainier. This ice capped mountain is nearly 5000 metres high.

Day 6 Seattle (0 miles / 0 km)
By now you have driven quite a distance, so you can take it easy. The Space Needle, has a wonderful view over Seattle and is definitely worth visiting. Visit one of the many swinging bars by the harbour for a great night in town.

Day 7 Seattle - Winthrop (232 miles / 371 km)
Until 1972, the Cascade Mountains were freely accessible. Today there is really only one local highway that runs through it. Enjoy the splendid panoramas and be alert to wildlife crossing the road on the way to Winthrop, your destination for today.

Day 8 Winthrop – Vancouver (230 miles / 368 km)
All of the splendor of this area is bundled in the National Park of the Northern Cascades. Cross the area before setting course for Canada. Keep your passport at hand. By the end of the afternoon you will reach Vancouver. Just in time for a swinging evening in this lively city.

Day 9 Vancouver (0 miles / 0 km)
One of the most impressive cities in the world is without a doubt Vancouver. So this is definitely not a bad choice to spend an extra day. Admire the sensational Stanley Park, walk along the historic bars and restaurants of Gastown or visit the vast China town. Day 10 Vancouver – Port Angeles (128 miles / 205 km)
Get on the ferry crossing to Nanaimo. You are now on Vancouver Island. Victoria, the capitol of British Columbia, still breathes its English charm; a nice place to stop! In the late afternoon take the ferry to Port Angeles to reach American mainland again.

Day 11 Port Angeles – Aberdeen (164 miles / 262 km)
Three different descriptions apply to today’s route: misty rainforests, snow covered peaks and rough rocky coastline, it all determines your experiences of the day. The splendor of the Olympic Peninsula, which you will cross today, defies description.

Day 12 Aberdeen – Newport (208 miles / 333 km)
The coast of Oregon is world famous for its Pacific Coast Highway. This magnificent road takes you along lighthouses, charming bays, sand dunes and, last but not least, the picturesque coast towns. The fresh sea breeze is bound to ensure a hungry arrival in Newport.

Day 13 Newport – Brookings (206 miles / 330 km)
Start with a ride down the Thousand Island Coast, a series of rock formations in the sea. Via a fascinating route reach Oregon Dunes National Park by the end of the day. The final section will lead you through a vast dune landscape that is also known as the “Sahara at the west-coast of America”.

Day 14 Brookings - Leggett (202 miles / 323 km)
Today’s route is characterized by the famous Redwood Pines. These gargantuan ancient tries will make you feel like a gnome during your visit of this splendid National Park.

Day 15 Leggett – San Francisco (190 miles / 304 km)
Start the day with a very special tunnel, how would you feel about riding your motorcycle through a tree? In the late afternoon arrive at your final destination San Francisco. Party the night away.
